Knight of Illumination Awards – Television Shortlist Announced
After much deliberation, The Knight of Illumination (KOI) Awards judging panel for the Television category has completed the shortlist of lighting and video designers nominated for their creative work in the Television sector. The winners will be announced at the 2018 Knight of Illumination Awards ceremony and gala dinner, to be held at London’s Eventim Apollo on 16 September 2018.
This year’s Television judging panel, chaired by lighting designer Stuart Gain, comprises outside broadcast director Stephen Neal, The New Statesman television critic Rachel Cooke, art director Jane Shepherd, and lighting director John O’Brien.

About the Knight of Illumination Awards
Since its inception in 2007, The Knight of Illumination Awards (KOI) has continued to grow in stature and is now the most credible UK industry awards to celebrate international lighting and video content design for entertainment. KOI recognises work broadcast or performed in the UK across the fields of Concert Touring & Events, Theatre and Television. Judging is carried out by three panels of industry experts in conjunction with prestigious industry organisations the ALD and the STLD.
The KOI awards were conceived by renowned lighting designer Durham Marenghi, Jennie Marenghi and Italian lighting manufacturer Claypaky who, to this day, are headline sponsor of the event alongside Osram.
