“The lighting has to pin down the different barber shops, and the atmospheres in similar shops, in different cities and continents and was exquisitely in sync with the content of the play. The nature of these barber shops is they become discussion places, bars for the locals. The lighting had the same vivacity as the action which was striking. This vitality and use of colour is quite rare.”
