Backup – The Technical Entertainment Charity, KOI and The Lightpower Collection

The Lightpower Collection features photography and album cover artwork from many of the world’s greatest photographers and designers and raises money for Backup, the official KOI awards charity.

Neal Preston’s Rock’n’Roll photography represents the core of this collection and comprises over seventy large-format original fine art prints. Preston’s archive is one of the most extensive in the world and includes every major artist in rock history. His photographs continue to be shown worldwide and many will be displayed in a specially curated display at the 2018 PLASA show at Olympia.

A selection of Neal’s photographs can also be seen here tonight in the Circle Bar during the famous KOI after-party.

All income from sales of fine art prints and merchandise is donated to  “Behind the Scenes” in America and to Backup–The Technical Entertainment Industry Charity here in the UK

Backup – The Technical Entertainment Charity – exists to support industry technical professionals working in live events, theatre, TV and film who are coping with extreme hardships. This includes all those behind the curtain, behind the camera, on the road or working for companies that manufacture and supply entertainment technology products and services.

Grants are tailored to an individual’s needs and can include essential living costs, medical related expenses, advice, re-training and travel. Backup works with potential recipients to fully understand the support needed and ensure that help is targeted effectively.

Alongside continuing its support of the Knight of Illumination Awards, headline sponsor Claypaky has supported the charity that helps all people working in the entertainment technology industry for many years.
